Floating Key operates as a community initiative that seeks to assist in The Restructuring of our world by serving as a reminder of our individual and collective responsibilities to one another.

Through intentional communication, strategic planning, and creative expression, we work to complete the first and most vital step of mobilization.

At the Core of It All

Floating Key seeks to bring greater awareness to the problems that surface when we resist honoring Indigenous communities and the land we live on.

This platform serves as an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the historic and social contribution of Black communities around the world.

____________________________

Floating Key encourage self-accountability, awareness, and intentional social engagement. And we do this, all while creating art, inspiring thoughtful conversation, and enjoying the entertainment curated at our events.

____________________________

We prioritize enjoyment in all that we do because we recognize the joy to be had when intentional communities are healed and formed.

The concept of Blackness has always been all-inclusive and welcoming of people who exist beyond what we have grown to understand Black people to be.

____________________________

We recognize that our global liberation relies on:

  • Our willingness and action to honor Indigenous communities around the world

  • Our action to amplify the voices of Black communities who continue to inspire creativity and social culture

  • Our intentional inclusion of people from all backgrounds

  • Our drive to self-reflect on our actions toward ourselves and others
